01
The idea
Remote teams had plenty of software for tasks, but little that helped colleagues know one another.
I built TeamBuddy around a team directory, interest-based clubs, and conversation prompts inside Slack.

02
Product decisions
- Clubs over channels. Interest spaces gave people a reason to reveal something beyond their role.
- Prompts with context. Each club had questions tied to its specific interest.
- Deep Slack integration. The product used events, a custom home tab, onboarding, and bot notifications.
- One application layer. Inertia connected Laravel and React without introducing a separate API for the MVP.

What I learned
I handled validation, MVP scope, Slack distribution, interface design, onboarding, and production engineering. The product had to prompt a useful interaction; another employee directory was not enough.
